How&How Logo

WSP

A campaign to launch WSP’s Future Mobility department. It needed a distinct voice that conveyed its progressive approach within the sector, but still had to align to the conventions of the mother brand.

We developed an urgent, emotive campaign strategy based on the cumulative ‘domino’ effect of the climate emergency: there is a chain reaction happening as a consequence of our actions, which we need to take control of. Change is happening, and there’s no turning back.

We created a dynamic design system using the WSP master logo as a framework. Dominos were tilted at 1.5° and thickened incrementally by 1.5 points. This is the number (in °C) that the global temperature needs to keep below to avoid “severe widespread and irreversible” climate change effects. We wrote campaign messaging and print copy, developed animations and art-directed photoshoots in Bristol and London to generate assets which were used across exhibition design, digital design and print collateral.

"From day one, How&How showed they understood our ask — bringing a strong connection from our goals and research through to creative; this has been executed with a level of thinking, design and creativity, including respect for our brand, which has continually impressed us.

"Both us as a marketing team, and our internal stakeholders, have gained a great deal from the thorough and collaborative process. The combination of creativity, agility and super-efficiency has been a breath of fresh air and has helped us raise the game."
