The Wombles

The UK’s original environmentalists. How The Wombles celebrated their 50th birthday in eco-friendly style.

What’s the truth?

With 85% of textiles ending up in landfill each year, fashion’s in serious need of some sustainable icons. On hand are The Wombles, who wanted to celebrate 50 years with a seal of approval for brands committed to making less ‘stuff’.

How’d we turn it up?

Remember Found & Found, the workshop where The Wombles turned trash into treasure? We leaned into that same idea by reusing ‘found’ Womble elements and imagery to build a fresh portfolio of cohesive assets for co-branded contexts.

We went all in on

Worldwide rights now unified
Global agent appointed, 2026
Two new YouTube channels launched
A red Crocs clog decorated with Wombles charms, floating against a red background
An enamel keyring of Orinoco’s face in his red hat, hanging from a chain against a yellow background
Layered Wombles swing tags on a dark plum background, a cream tag reading ‘The Summer Collection’ over a red tag with the W logo and Womble illustrations
